Argentine Postcards
Founded in 2010 under the direction of maestro Leonardo Freire, the company has become a mainstay of the Argentinean folklore scene, performing in renowned theaters and milongas across the country. Composed of five pairs of professional dancers with extensive experience, they have toured nationally and internationally, representing Argentine culture through their dynamic performances.
Argentine Postcards takes audiences on a vibrant journey through Argentina’s diverse cultural landscapes. The show begins in the Pampas with the strength and grace of the gaucho, moves through the coastal lands of the lumberjacks, and continues to the Andean north—home to the descendants of the Inca Empire, the Coyas. Finally, it celebrates the rhythm and passion of Buenos Aires tango before culminating in the explosive power of malambo, where drums, knives, spears, and bolas evoke the country’s spirit.
Their mission is to preserve and share the essence of Argentina—its rhythm, pride, and identity—through folk, indigenous, and tango traditions, offering audiences an authentic, high-energy experience that keeps the spirit of its people alive.
